Job Description

We are seeking an Agricultural Loan Officer to join a well-established financial institution serving Northwestern Illinois. This role involves working closely with the agricultural community to provide financial solutions tailored to farmers, agribusinesses, and rural enterprises.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with local farmers and agribusiness clients.
* Evaluate and analyze loan applications, including financial statements and credit reports, to determine creditworthiness.
* Provide customized financial solutions, such as operating loans, equipment financing, and real estate loans.
* Monitor loan portfolios to ensure compliance with credit policies and mitigate risk.
* Conduct on-site visits to assess clients' operations and understand their financial needs.
* Stay informed about agricultural market trends and local economic conditions.

Qualifications:

* Experience in agricultural lending or a related financial services role.
* Strong understanding of agricultural operations and rural economics.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
* Proficient analytical skills for evaluating financial documents and assessing risk.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts effectively.
* Familiarity with agricultural financing products and local market trends.
