Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid) . The ideal candidate will focus on developing and maintaining data pipelines to manage and process financial data, while ensuring data quality, governance, and optimization across cloud environments.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Cloud Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining data pipelines to ingest, process, and store financial data from various sources (internal and external).
• Integrating structured and unstructured data from systems like accounting software, trading platforms, and financial databases.
• Designing and optimizing relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) to store and retrieve financial data efficiently.
• Implementing data quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
• Automating data processing tasks and continuously optimizing data pipelines and systems to handle large volumes of financial data.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration, migration, and reporting.
• Working with cloud platforms like AWS and Snowflake to enhance data management and reporting capabilities.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, data integration, or data management.
• Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, CloudFormation) and Snowflake.
• Experience with databases like Oracle, SQL, NoSQL, and data engineering tools such as ETL frameworks and automation.
