Facility Manager - Metals Recycling - Relo

Position Overview: The Facility Manager leads the operations of a metals recycling facility, ensuring safety, productivity, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to senior management, this role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, environmental compliance, quality, inventory control, and employee performance. A strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and profitability is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Environmental, Health & Safety (H&S):

• Lead H&S programs to ensure a safe workplace, compliant with environmental and company standards.
• Investigate incidents and enforce corrective actions, collaborating with safety and environmental teams.

Operations & Continuous Improvement:

• Manage facility operations, working to meet production goals through efficiency and best practices.
• Lead improvement projects, maintain production equipment, and validate performance metrics.

Equipment & Maintenance:

• Ensure equipment reliability through proactive maintenance and minimize downtime.

Inventory & Quality Control:

• Oversee inventory accuracy and material quality, ensuring standards are met for shipment and storage.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Operate within budget and recommend capital investments to meet operational needs and growth.

Staffing & Administration:

• Manage staffing and HR policy compliance, evaluate employee performance, and support recruitment.

Special Projects:

• Lead special projects as assigned, contributing to facility and company goals.
