The  Supply Chain Manager develops and executes strategies for the sourcing, procurement, logistics and inventory of raw materials and fully fabricated items for both domestic and international locations. The role will also ensure cost effective purchases and uninterrupted supply, including qualifying secondary sources, while overseeing inventory control, vendor relations, and overall supply chain. This position is an in-office role and will report to the Senior Manager of Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for strategic sourcing for all new product development project raw material sourcing.
  • Management of the forecasting of raw materials and customer stocking agreements
  • Monitoring On-Time creation of purchase orders
  • Overseeing Inventory levels are maintained appropriately for domestic and international manufacturing.
  • Overseeing Import/Export documentation and the enforcement of government regulations
  • Assist in the management of team KPIs, including, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, inventory adjustments and shipping costs.
  • Providing guidance and solutions to improve transit times and reduce shipping costs
  • Managing the creation of new items and new vendor set-up
  • Create and review Standard Operations Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Manage supplier relations & performance through regular supplier communication
  • Perform ad hoc analysis around safety stock, shipping costs, supplier performance, etc.
  • Improving working capital through payment terms, payment cycle optimization, and inventory management
  • Creating learning and development plans for their team
  • Ensure all business relationships follow appropriate corporate and government policies (contract, pricing, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business or similar
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience including at least 2 years in a Supervisory level
  • Prior experience working with international suppliers, specifically in Asia
  • Experience working with logistics companies, assigning HTS codes and consolidating shipments.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing
  • Strong interpersonal communication
  • Ability to see big picture projects and break them into actionable tasks
  • Manage multiple tight timelines to execute tasks on-time
  • Self-starter with excellent time management who is able to identify problems and create solutions
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of ERP systems; preferably NetSuite
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft, especially Excel
  • Some travel and working outside of normal business hours is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
