Job Description

Job Overview:

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Hotel Sales will be responsible for leveraging deep industry knowledge and expertise to drive hotel sales strategies, enhance market presence, and optimize revenue. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in hotel sales, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Additionally, the SME will be involved in consulting work to identify opportunities for technology to modernize and create solutions for sales processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic lead and subject matter expert for the identification of functional and strategic gaps as well as integrations between various next generation platforms including Property Management System (PMS), Central Reservation System (CRS), Sales and Catering (S&C), Revenue Management System (RMS), and distribution to direct channels, Global Distribution System (GDS) and Online Travel Agencies (OTA).
  • Lead strategic planning, development and change management for Hotel Sales to leverage new capabilities and integration with various technological tools.
  • Identify needs and opportunities to generate innovative product offerings that solve key customer pain points across digital distribution channels.
  • Spearhead new use cases for sales platforms to increase revenue and/or drive process efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase revenue through digital channels.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the team's knowledge and skills.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, emerging trends, and best practices in hotel sales and rest of hospitality.
  • Participate in consulting projects to identify and implement technological solutions for sales modernization.
  • Work closely with technology teams to develop and deploy sales tools and systems that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to envision design, development, and centralized solution for Business Segments with enhanced ecosystem integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in hotel sales strategies, revenue management, and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Certifications in sales management or related disciplines.
  • Experience with international hotel sales and global market trends.
