Due to the immense amount of marketing we do and the brand recognition GEICO provides, this position does not require any cold-calling people from random lists! Training for all products and processes that you will need to be familiar with will be provided to you. The office owner, Josiah Dodson - Local Agent, is an insurance veteran with GEICO who has been training and equipping agents for nearly 20 years!

Let me make it real for you , there is no reason to sugar coat here, the total compensation is commensurate with your performance. You are in charge of how much you make. . . . . . .an average Licensed Producer will make 40k, a go-getter who shows up every day and is willing to pursue the sale will easily make 60k, and a stellar seller who is a top producer will easily make 80k.

Responsibilities

• Learn the basics of GEICO insurance and how to sell our benefits to potential customers
• Proactively reach out to prospective clients and pursue the sale for auto, home, renters, and other personal lines products while providing extraordinary customer service
• This is primarily a phone-based position where you will make anywhere from 100-300 outcalls per day
• Service existing accounts as needed and identify cross-selling opportunities during the call

Basic Qualifications

• Must currently have an active Property and Casualty Insurance License or be able to obtain one prior to your training start date.
• Competitive spirit and a passion to excel
• Willingness to learn and implement the best practices that are shared with you
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Up to 90% of your day may be on the phone, a high-energy personality and a love of working with people is a must
• A knack for remembering data, processes and details
• Strong computer skills to learn and work within multiple quoting systems (must be able to type at least 40 wpm)
• Punctual and dependable to ensure that you are available for your customers
