Job Description

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join an Am Law 100 law firm in Dallas. The Litigation Paralegal will be handling a variety of matters, including state and federal proceedings and class actions. This opportunity is full time, on-site, and direct hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of substantive paralegal tasks
• Work directly with attorneys on product liability, warranty, franchise and distribution law litigation, and other complex business disputes
• Maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases and manage case calendars
• Electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system
• Conduct online PACER research
• Prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions; prepare deposition notices and organize, maintain, and prepare deposition materials, exhibits, and summaries
• Track and manage discovery, including document productions
• Prepare for and attending trials; participate in case strategy meetings

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' of litigation experience in a large law firm; trial experience required
• An understanding of a paralegal's role in the litigation life cycle, especially in product liability litigation
• A two or four year degree and a Paralegal Certificate (work experience may be substituted for education)
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
