Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an accountant at KL FINANCIAL LLC in Palmetto, GA. This is NOT a remote position. The accountant will be responsible for the following job duties.

• Work with clients to accurately prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses from initial meeting through delivery of completed returns.
• Prepare financial statements, journal entries, manage fixed assets and reconcile accounts.
• Understand and apply tax reduction strategies.
• Research various tax matters.
• Monitor guidance issued by the Internal Revenue Service/Department of the Treasury and new legislation relevant to tax accounting
• Nurture current client relationships as well as help us grow our clientele base.

Qualifications

• At least 2 tax seasons of income tax preparation experience preferred
• Experience preparing 1040 returns required
• Experience preparing 1120S and 1065 tax returns preferred
• Experience working with high net worth / high income clients preferred
• Analytical Skills and Finance expertise with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
• Experience working in UltraTax CS preferred
• Quickbooks online experience required
• Enjoy working with people and display a true desire for positive client outcome.

Compensation

• $45K to $80K a year dependent upon experience and qualifications
• 401K with company matching
• Paid vacation
• Enjoy Fridays off for about 5 months of the year in return for additional hours required from late January to April 15th
