JOB SUMMARY:
The Sustainable Energy Coordinator / Offshore Wind Liaison will establish sustainable energy goals and priorities for the Penobscot Nation and identify and track issues, opportunities, and developments related to offshore wind and other sustainable energy projects as they arise. The Sustainable Energy Coordinator / Offshore Wind Liaison is responsible for communicating with the tribal public, natural resources director, economic development director, Chief and Council, and to help inform the Penobscot Nation about their findings. The Sustainable Energy Coordinator / Offshore Wind Liaison will also communicate with other Wabanaki tribes and federal, state, and NGO partners about sustainable energy, offshore wind, and other topics as they arise. Finally, the Sustainable Energy Coordinator / Offshore Wind Liaison will be responsible for developing a sustainable energy roadmap for the Penobscot Nation with input from the department of natural resource programs as well as other tribal departments, Chief, and Council.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; consistent physical effort requiring good physical condition is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work is performed in both an indoor and outdoor setting; exposure to adverse weather conditions may occur. Flexibility in work schedule is required.
