The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Tax Director with a strong background in nonprofit organizations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the tax challenges and opportunities within the nonprofit sector and a passion for helping these organizations thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the firm's tax services for nonprofit clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Develop and implement tax strategies that align with clients' missions and financial goals.
• Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, including Form 990 and other nonprofit-specific filings.
• Provide expert guidance on tax planning, risk management, and regulatory changes affecting the nonprofit sector.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for all tax-related matters.
• Collaborate with partners and other departments to identify opportunities for service enhancements and business growth.
• Mentor and develop tax staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on nonprofit organizations.
• In-depth knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements specific to the nonprofit sector.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of managing complex tax engagements and delivering high-quality results.
